Employer: Xperience TeamAbout the RoleWe are casting a professional performer to embody the role of Santa Claus in our immersive Christmas experience in Lapland . This is a performing and emotionally rich role, requiring a blend of improvisation, empathy, and authentic character portrayal. You will be central to creating magical, heartwarming moments for guests of all ages.The ideal candidate is an experienced actor, storyteller, or stage performer who can naturally embody the warmth, wisdom, and charisma of Santa Claus. While your primary role is performing as Santa, you may also support other entertainment and guest service activities during non-performance hours.Key Responsibilities
- Portray Santa Claus with credibility, presence, and emotional depth
- Greet families with warmth and adapt your performance to each interaction
- Maintain Santa's Cabin as a clean, immersive space for storytelling and photo sessions
- Collaborate closely with the creative team, elves, and guides for seamless show flow
- Learn background information about guests (e.g., names, gifts, hometowns) to personalize visits
- Stay in character at all times when in costume and guest-facing
- Exhibit professional stage etiquette, punctuality, and preparation
- Work comfortably outdoors in snowy Arctic conditions in full costume
- Contribute artistically to rehearsals and character development as needed
- Proven experience in performing arts (theatre, film, immersive experiences, or live entertainment)
- Strong improvisational skills and confidence in character acting
- Excellent storytelling ability and expressive verbal communication
- Fluent spoken English (other languages a plus)
- Comfortable working with and emotionally engaging children
- Physically capable of working long shifts in cold temperatures
- Positive presence, patience, and a deep appreciation for the holiday spirit
- Flexible to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Education or training in acting, drama, or performing arts
- Experience with immersive theatre, themed entertainment, or interactive events
- Photography awareness or stage direction skills
- Familiarity with Finnish culture or basic Finnish language
- Valid B driver's license and First Aid certification are considered assets
- Previous experience in guest service or hospitality roles is a bonus
