If your answer is yes, you could be a new member of our team!We are looking for an Infra Architect to strengthen our team.We are looking for an Infra Architect who has strong expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex hybrid IT infrastructures, including public cloud environments and traditional datacenters. While our primary focus includes GCP and Azure platforms, we also value deep experience with on-premise infrastructure management. In this role, you will get to design and develop our scalable and resilient IT infrastructures, supporting business growth across Europe by utilizing modern Infrastructure as Code solutions and traditional infrastructure best practices.As an Infra Architect, you will act as a technical leader and expert as part of the Infra team. In your role, you will participate in a variety of international projects, such as designing new cloud and datacenter infrastructures, migrations, and audits. Producing high-quality and secure solutions across our entire infrastructure landscape is of utmost importance to us. Success in this role also requires good collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders who may not be familiar with complex IT infrastructure technologies.Key Responsibilities include:
Designing, developing, and managing hybrid infrastructure architecture, with a focus on GCP, Azure, and on-premise datacenter environments.In-depth knowledge of architecture, system administration, and best practices for both cloud and physical datacenter infrastructure.Defining principles for infrastructure management and automation (e.g., Terraform) across hybrid environments.Collaborating with development, security, and business teams to design scalable and secure solutions for both cloud and on-premise needs.Introducing best practices and new technologies into Mehiläinen’s IT environments, encompassing cloud and datacenter solutions.Developing documentation and processes, and sharing knowledge within the team regarding all infrastructure components.Participating in international projects and supporting expansion through robust cloud and datacenter technologies.Planning the strategy for infrastructure monitoring and alerting across hybrid environments, and overseeing its implementation.Requirements include:
Strong experience in designing and implementing public cloud (GCP and Azure) architecture. We particularly value deep expertise in the GCP platform.Proven experience with datacenter infrastructure, including server hardware, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions, and on-premise networking.Experience in IT due diligence, integration planning, or execution related to mergers and acquisitions.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security checks into development workflows.In-depth knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles for managing hybrid infrastructure.Experience in automating, managing, and optimizing cloud and datacenter infrastructures.Understanding of security and best practices in both cloud and on-premise environments.Strong evidence and expertise in managing Windows and Linux servers in both virtualized and physical environments.Ability to work in an international work environment.You have good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking ability.Masters degree in a relevant field.Good communication and teamwork skills in English.Personal Success Factors:
