Our portfolio allows utilities and industrials to maximize the return on transformer assets by ensuring a high reliability, reducing life cycle costs and ensuring optimized performance while lowering environmental impact.We are now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa.How you’ll make an impact
– Developing, coaching, and managing suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies.
– Providing advice and training on quality protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and applicable government standards.
– Monitoring and managing supplier performance and quality related metrics. Supporting different stakeholders with supplier related topics.
– Resolving supplier problems related to quality and performance.
– Working effectively together with global and regional supplier quality organizations.Your background
– B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering
– Strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills
– Competence in functionality of power transformers and its components
– Experience in APQP, PPAP and Quality Management
– Familiarity with problem solving tools such as 8D methodology
– Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
– Initiative and an independent approach to work
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English
