What you can expect as our Software Engineer at LeadDeskIn your role, you'll be focusing on one of the most critial areas of our services, the real-time voice solutions. These include VoIP-related services, particularly enhancing features such as predictive dialer and queueing functionalities. Your focus will be in backend development, allowing you to work with strong and scalable solutions with occasional involvement in front-end tasks.Your colleague from the CPaaS team will work alongside you at our Helsinki headquarters. You'll also get to collaborate closely with our SRE & Engineering teams, consisting of 50 developers and system specialists across the Nordics.What success looks like in this role in the first 6 months

You have a good understanding of our products and know the key stakeholders you are working with.
You have learnt a lot about our business environment, development processes, and technologies.
You have become an integral part of the team.
You are working independently with our products and many of the features you have been developing are already in production.

This is where the match happensMust haves

Experience working in an agile software development team. Ideally in SaaS/PaaS product development environments
Comprehensive understanding of software development processes and life cycles
3+ years hands-on experience on programming a business-critical software
Strong programming skills with PHP and Python
Adaptability and eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced, expanding company
Good understanding on MySQL/MariaDB databases.
Good communication skills in English. You will need to be able to document, present, and discuss your work with your teammates and other stakeholders. No Finnish skills needed!

Nice-to-haves

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
Experience with real-time voice or video solutions
Experience with Asterisk (or similar platform)
Experience with SIP and WebRTC
Experience with Linux servers
You're able to consider both security and performance issues in your software design and development.
Familiar with modern Javascript UI technologies (React, Vue etc.)

Start date: Position available immediately, start date can be agreed.
