The team you are joining supports ICEYE’s Product Engineering organization on the mission to analyse natural catastrophes around the globe. These solutions empower end users to quantitatively make timely actions for event characterization, assessment, and response during stressful and uncertain times.About the role?As a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer, your work will be focused on building an internal developer platform which offers self-service to application developers and enables them to focus on product development. Furthermore, you are taking responsibility in operating our cloud infrastructure and clusters which is the foundational backbone of the natural catastrophe analytics and product development at ICEYE.Why ICEYE?Our Mission: We are the global leader in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite operations, owning the world's largest constellation.   • Collaborate with application and product teams to ensure a fast, safe, secure and reliable path to production.
  • Architect and manage our cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters using Terraform and AWS.
  • Design and develop automation and self-service tools to improve our developer platform.
  • Monitor and optimize application/infrastructure performance, security, and cost.
Requirements
  • You are proficient in Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS. You have a profound understanding of concepts like Infrastructure as Code, Slack/GitOps, Application Performance Management (APM) and CI/CD.
  • You are familiar with object-oriented and/or functional programming languages (we are strongly powered by Python and Go).
  • You have a strong dedication to reliability, automation, and self-service. You're experienced in managing client-facing production environments.
  • You have high empathy for other developers, and you're driven by the mission of being a multiplier for the entire engineering organization.
  • You have experience building and standardizing delivery processes in a multi-team environment, including creating "golden paths" and opinionated abstractions.
  • You embody agile values and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
