In this role, you will work closely with various Finance functions and other departments across the Wärtsilä to identify opportunities for process improvement and develop automated solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle of the deliveries, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.Position information:This is a permanent position, and the preferred locations for this role are Helsinki, Turku or Vaasa, Finland, Mumbai, India, Bermeo, Spain or Gdansk, Poland. We also offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.Your role and responsibilitiesAs a Process Automation Developer, you will be working as a part of a Financial Data & Analytics Competency Centre team with diverse expertise and in your day-to-day work you will:

Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for process improvement, and develop automated solutions to increase efficiency and productivity in Finance functions
Design and develop software solutions to automate business processes, using low code platforms such as UiPath, Power Apps and BPMN; languages such as .NET and Python
Design and implement data & analytics solutions on cloud
Create and maintain development plans, schedules, and timelines for your own work, ensuring that developments are completed according to the deadline
Ensure that DevOps best practices are followed, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing
Ensure that automated solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure
Work with our IT organisation to deploy and maintain automated solutions, ensuring that they are integrated with existing systems and infrastructure
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies and recommend new approaches to improve our internal automation processes

Requirements for the position:

2+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on process automation and improvement
Development experience with UIPath or other Robotics Process Automation tools
Good knowledge of, at minimum, Python or .Net languages
Good knowledge of SQL
Pro-active, analytical, systematic, and organised way of working with a strong drive for continuous learning and improvement

To be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices
Good project management skills
Good understanding of Azure cloud services, especially relating to data warehousing and pipelines
Understanding of AI/Machine Learning models and how these can be utilised in various business processes
Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
