We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to support the safe delivery of large-scale data center construction projects. The Safety Officer will work on site and report directly to the Senior Safety Manager, forming part of a multidisciplinary EHS team that includes Junior Safety Officers, and EHS / Compliance Officer, and an Environmental & Sustainability specialist.This role is critical to ensuring high safety standards, regulatory compliance, and a proactive safety culture across all construction activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation and enforcement of the project Health & Safety management systemMonitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and company standardsConduct site safety inspections, audits, and observationsIdentify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and support corrective and preventive actionsParticipate in incident investigations and support root cause analysisSupport risk assessments, methods statements (RAMS), and permit-to-work processesDeliver and support toolbox talks, safety inductions, and briefingsWork closely with site management, subcontractors, and the wider EHS teamAssist in maintaining accurate safety documentation and recordsPromote a strong safety-first culture across the projectQualifications & ExperienceRelevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience in a construction site safety role, preferably on large-scale or complex projectsData center, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical project experience is an advantageStrong knowledge of construction safety legislation and best practicesExperience working with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to communicate clearly and assertively at all levelsStructured, proactive, and hands-on approach to site safetyFluent English required; Finnish language skills are an advantageWhat We OfferA key role on technically complex, high-profile data center construction projectsA structured and supportive EHS organization with clear reporting linesOpportunity to work alongside experienced safety, compliance, and sustainability professionalsCompetitive compensation and benefitsLong-term development opportunities within a growing international organizationAbout CTS GroupCTS Group is one of the largest design and build contractors in Europe and the market leader in the Nordic region for data center delivery.
