We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Officer to play a leading role in the day-to-day management of health and safety on large-scale data center construction projects. The Senior Safety Officer will work on site and report to the HSE Lead, acting as a key support to site management and as a mentor to Junior Safety Officers.This role is suited to a hands-on safety professional with strong construction experience who can drive high safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture across complex, fast-paced worksites.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate daily health and safety activities on siteSupport the HSE Lead in implementing the project H&S strategySupervise and mentor Junior Safety OfficersConduct site safety inspections, audits, and behavioral safety observationsEnsure compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and company standardsReview and approve RAMS, permits to work, and high-risk activity plansSupport incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsDeliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefingsWork closely with Project Management, Site Management, and subcontractorsMonitor subcontractor safety performance and drive continuous improvementMaintain accurate safety records and reportingQualifications & ExperienceRecoqnized qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related disciplineMinimum 5+ years' experience in construction site safety rolesExperience on data center, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects is highly desirableStrong working knowledge of construction H&S legislation and best practicesExperience reviewing RAMS and managing high-risk activitiesConfident communicator with the ability to influence site behaviorsProactive, structured, and solution-oriented approachFluent English required; local language skills are an advantageWhat We OfferA senior site-based role on high-profile data center construction projectsA well-structured EHS organization with clear leadership and supportOpportunity to mentor and develop junior safety professionalsCompetitive salary and benefitsLong-term career development within an international construction organizationAbout CTS GroupCTS Group is one of the largest design and build contractors in Europe and the market leader in the Nordic region for data center delivery.
