As Product Safety Engineer, you will be part of Surface Drilling R&D organization and responsible for ensuring Sandvik surface drill rigs comply with the safety requirements in each intended market area. You are required to work in close co-operation with various key stakeholders within Engineering, Sales Areas, Project Management, Product Line Management and Technical Services.Your main responsibilitiesCoordinate that risk assessments, functional safety analysis and product safety reviews are done in new product development (NPD) projectsProduct safety incident managementGather and follow market area specific and international safety requirements and standardsDevelop and implement product safety processes for Surface Drilling DivisionSafety-related customer documentation creationInternal product safety trainingsYour background and what we value
You have a university education and Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science and work experience within product safety and liability. Experience in functional safety analysis is seen as an advantage. You enjoy working with people and bring strength in communication, collaboration, and presenting complex topics in a clear way. You have knowledge of machinery safety regulations, and familiarity with mining safety regulations is beneficial. You are comfortable balancing multiple objectives and activities and can prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
