On behalf of our client KATKO, we are looking to hire aPROCUREMENT ENGINEER.This is a permanent position based at KATKOs factory in Konala, Helsinki.The Procurement Engineer is responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and sustainable acquisition of raw materials, components, tooling, and services essential to KATKOs production operations. This role involves driving supplier performance, overseeing end-to-end procurement processes, and supporting strategic sourcing and reporting activities in alignment with the companys broader operational objectives.In this role:– You are responsible for sourcing raw materials, components, tooling, and services.– Coordinate purchase orders and delivery schedules in close collaboration with planning and production teams.– Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.– Conduct supplier evaluations, audit, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.– Ensure adherence to supplier agreements and compliance with defined quality standards.– Support and execute strategic sourcing decisions in cooperation with production, quality, and logistics.– Prepare procurement budgets and monitor actual vs. planned costs.– Produce procurement-related reports (e.g., CBAM, GHG, Intrastat).– Handle purchasing documentation, invoice matching, and approval processes.– Maintain accurate data in ERP and procurement systems.– Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and sustainability goals.– Work closely with warehouse, finance, and production planning to optimize inventory levels and delivery timing.– Participate in procurement-related problem-solving and escalation processes.– Contribute to continuous improvement and digitization of procurement processes.Qualifications:– Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.– Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the industrial sector.– Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation– Fluency in Finnish and English– Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills– Real team player with high motivation to learn– High integrity and fast decision-making skills– Proficiency in MS Office and ability to adopt fast digital tools and software applications– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.What we offer:By joining KATKO, youll become part of our diverse and international work culture, where new perspectives are encouraged and professional growth is supported.
