  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Policies, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management with an economic development portfolio.
Experience working with local municipalities, associations, key opinion formers, non-profit decision makers, education institutions, and community members. * Experience synthesizing data and research findings into recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate in Finnish and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Education, Public Relations/Policy, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and launching local, state, national or global public-private partnerships.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: data centers, utilities, government, advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience using analytics to make decisions.
  • Ability to grow in a fluid multinational environment working across multiple lines of business.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time as needed, across multi-market data center portfolios.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.Responsibilities
  • Lead global data center community development strategies, investments, and impact for Finland.
  • Engage with key opinion formers, community groups such as municipal leaders, industry partners, economic development organizations, schools, education institutions, and nonprofits to ensure initiatives are centered around community needs and accelerating business objectives.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and peers to develop strategies to scale sub regional community affairs coverage in emerging markets, focusing on place-based frameworks and partnerships to produce location-specific development plans based on research data.
  • Develop communication tools and processes to educate local communities about the role and impact of our data centers, and create locally focused investment plans that are self-sustaining.
  • Build and maintain key internal relationships with a broad set of internal stakeholders.
